A Message From The Bride

Describe your experience with wedding planning: To be honest, wedding planning was a little of a blur. I had an amazing wedding planner (Brittney Mendoza of Encore Events 90210) and she helped narrow down everything and solidify a vision. All I knew was we wanted an outdoor wedding for almost 300 people!

My biggest suggestion to anyone is to not do it all yourself. There are so many details that you are not experienced in, a talented planner helps with all of that.

There are so many insanely simple details that have a huge overall impact on your wedding day, that I couldn't even imagine how things would have turned out if I didn't have an incredible team of vendors I trusted.

Our wedding planner was critical in keeping Brandon and I on track with everything. But as long as you expect to spend a little more on your big day than you plan for, you will be just fine and not stress too much.

Describe your experience with finding your wedding gown: A designer I love Ryan & Walter randomly decided to have a sample sale at the right time. They have never done this before and I honestly had zero intention of buying a dress right away, but I wanted to just see what they had.

I am originally from New Jersey and my immediate family and close friends were all on the east coast, with the exception of a few friends that are now more like family here in LA. I was on the phone with one of my friends while driving there and she was like "wait you're going dress shopping alone?" "Don't be weird, I"m going to meet you there". She gets there and I tell her she is wasting her time....but only three dresses later, a sit down with Ryan & Walter themselves, and a whole lot of tears with emotion, I bought my dress!

How did you meet?: We met in 2006, I was wrapping up my junior year of college and Brandon was playing baseball for the Washington Nationals.

A mutual friend introduced us and after a few group dates we finally planned to go out to dinner. Brandon was staying at a hotel and I went to pick him up. He said he wasn't finished getting dressed so he told me to just come up and wait. I went to his room where he had candles and slow music playing.

Crazy enough, I ended up leaving and thought we would never speak again. But then, seven years later we ran into each other at a party and have been inseparable ever since!

What are your favorite moments of your wedding day?: I loved having both of our families together. The day was literally perfect from the weather, and the decor was just everything.

Interesting facts about the wedding or couple: We love to laugh and just be with each other! We joke that we have seven TVs in our house and you will never catch us in separate rooms, whether I'm watching sports with him or he is watching Real Housewives with me, we just love to be together.

I think that we never get tired of each other's company and that we can talk about any and everything is what our friendship and marriage is built on.

Our gorgeous outdoor ceremony at Hummingbird Ranch was so special to us. We got married in October, and with Southern California’s beautiful weather, everything was just perfect!

Any other advice for brides to be? Do what ever it is YOU want! You only get one wedding day and it is about you and your love, so don't plan it for anyone but yourselves.

We went with a Rustic Glam theme for our wedding at Hummingbird Nest Ranch. Most of the design details were white, but with a hint of gold and rose.

Our extraordinary wedding planner and designer, Britney Mendoza of Encore Events 90210 blew us away! She went above and beyond for us.

Our reception started at the perfect time, moments following sunset. And if you have been to the ranch, it is so magical at that time!

We also had some natural wooden elements with some mirrored tables, but most of all, sparkle and shine!

It was an amazing feeling coming out to a crowd of people we love so dearly. As we walked down the stairs, we saw every one that held a special place in our heart, and it felt so good to be walking into the crowd as husband & wife.

Brandon had the singer Joe sing for our first dance and I just felt so lost in his arms with the music. This is one of the moments, I will never forget.
