A Message From The Couple

Describe your experience with wedding planning : At a meeting with our photographer, as he was going through our timeline for the wedding day, he mentioned at one point “this is when you’ll take your first look.” Garen told him we have been looking at each other for 15 years, we’re way past first looks, we all had a good laugh.

Working with Rene was absolutely amazing!! We had seen his work from a prior wedding we attended and also from social media. He really knows how to capture great shots and is extremely professional with his staff. We HIGHLY recommend him and cannot thank him enough for the amazing shots.

Our coordinator from Magic Moments was excellent and the entire staff at Rental Avenue went above and beyond and exceeded our expectations immensely. Planning a wedding nowadays isn’t a joke. It took us a while to find the right look we wanted and most importantly the right vendors to choose. These are just a few of the vendors that were genuine with us and in the end that’s what mattered the most when it came to the planning.

Describe your experience with finding your wedding gown: Shopping for my wedding dress was a bit stressful until I stepped foot into Lovella Bridal. They were extremely helpful and made me feel so comfortable.

I already knew the kind of look I was going for but they were still patient with me as I tried on dresses with different looks. But believe me, I wasn’t the type of bride that picked her dress in one shot.

How did you meet?: We met through mutual friends, although we had known of each other years prior. One night after we all went out, I forgot my cell phone in a friend’s car, Garen took it and when I called to get it back Garen asked me out for desert and said he would return the phone then. And so it began...

Describe the moment he proposed: It was such a romantic weekend for us. He surprised me by taking me to Paradise Point. Our room had such a beautiful view of the ocean. One of the days, we had lunch and he took me out in the middle of the ocean on a private boat and proposed.

The timing couldn’t have been more perfect as the sun was setting and then he popped the question and I couldn’t have been more ecstatic. Truly one of the best days of my life.

What are your favorite moments of your wedding day?: Some of our favorite moments from our wedding day was getting to see the final touches. We loved everything that we had picked out but when our intense planning paid off and came to fruition, it was so breathtaking.

Another favorite moment was to witness our guests enjoying the night. We spent a lot of time planning the wedding and we truly wanted our guests to enjoy every moment of it, which they did!

Interesting facts about the wedding or couple: We had been dating for 15 years before our wedding, in those 15 years we had only been apart a total of 25 days.

Anything additional you would like to want to mention about the two of you, the wedding day, or any advice you may have about wedding planning: Do it how you want it, don’t worry about what others will say, but cater to your guests the best you can because they are who will make your night unforgettable.

Most of all, enjoy the night, things will go wrong but no one besides you will notice. Every single minute of your wedding celebration is special, and once in a lifetime, so take it all in and have fun!
