Vibrant South Asian Wedding in Los Angeles
Wedding at InterContinental
Max & Lisa
A Message From The Bride
Describe your experience with wedding planning: We absolutely loved all of our vendors! With the help of our amazing team, we were able to have our perfect two day celebration.
Our wedding venue at Intercontinental Downtown Los Angeles, did an exceptional job of fulfilling all of our needs, from beginning to end.
How did you meet? We first met at a local restaurant in Los Angeles called Beauty & Essex. But nothing more really happened right away.
After we first met, we actually lost touch, but then after six months ran into each other three times within the same week. We just starting talking, and the rest was history!
Max had his outfit designed by Tom Ford. His Sherwani and Churidas were both custom made. It had the traditional South Asian look but a modern twist. it looked so good on him!
What are your favorite moments of your wedding day? Our first look when he saw me for the first time in my wedding gown on Friday night. He started to tear up and my just about heart exploded!
Describe the moment he proposed: Max actually arranged to propose in the exact spot we first met at Beauty & Essex, before the restaurant opened that night. I was so surprised!
Describe your experience with finding your wedding gown: Both of my wedding gowns were custom made. The first look which was traditional Pakistani, was hand-made in Pakistan.
Interesting facts about the wedding or couple: Being that we are from completely different cultures, religious beliefs and races, but we still found love. It hasn’t been easy in the beginning but it’s been beyond worth it!
Our wedding reception had over 700 guests! It was tough to plan, but our wedding planner and floral designer, Eddie, did an amazing job making sure every detail was perfect.
The whole night was so special. We loved that all our guests were part of the whole experience with us.
Wedding Reception Design Theme: Romantic and Classy. Since my dress was red and gold, Max’s tux was black, we decided to go with a black, red, and gold theme!
Honestly we had so much fun taking our portraits, when we were with our photographer and cinema team inside our ballroom – all eyes were on us!
Wedding Reception Design Inspiration: We got our reception design inspiration from the vibrant colors of our attire!
Any important piece of advice you can recommend? I highly recommend every bride budget for a talented wedding planner! They make the event stress free and so easy. Ours was Anita Fancy, and she did an incredible job.
For my second look, on the day following our reception, I wore a custom gown designed by Ryan & Walter.
We had a two unforgettable days of celebration that encompassed both our cultures and it couldn’t be more perfect.
From the photography to the catering to the decor and the wedding planning team, everyone brought our dreams to reality.
