Describe your experience with wedding planning: Planning a wedding in L.A. while living in Boston definitely had its challenges. After doing much research and talking to friends and family, we had a better idea of what direction to take. We knew that the venue and wedding date would be important decisions early on, and once these were set, everything else slowly fell into place.

Our coordinator’s guidance and suggestions were very helpful for us along the way. Making vendor choices could get overwhelming at times, but seeing our vision come to life on the day of made it all worth it!

Describe your experience with finding your wedding gown: I knew exactly what I was looking for in a wedding gown, but had no luck finding one when I started the process. When we went bridesmaids dress shopping with my bridal party, I still hadn’t found a dress yet! The store we had gone to to look for bridesmaid dresses also had a floor for wedding gowns (which I had already gone to weeks prior).

The attendant helping us that day insisted that we could not continue looking at dresses for the bridesmaids until I looked through the wedding gowns there just one more time! After much convincing, I agreed. She asked me to describe my dream dress and she was able to find one that fit my description perfectly! To this day, I’m still amazed at how it all worked out on that day!

How did you meet?: We met five years ago through mutual family friends. We reconnected two years later when Lara and her sister were visiting the west coast. The rest is history!

Describe the moment he proposed: In the summer of 2018, we took a trip to Dubai. On June 16th, 2018, Hrag made dinner reservations at At.mosphere restaurant in the Burj Khalifa- the highest restaurant in the world from ground level! Towards the end of the night, he surprised me with the most beautiful ring and asked me to marry him!

What are your favorite moments of your wedding day?: Lara: My two favorite moments were 1) walking down the stairs on the morning of and seeing Hrag for the first time, and 2) Hrag singing to me (“Fly me to the Moon” by Frank Sinatra) at our reception!

Hrag: My two favorite moments were 1) seeing Lara coming down the stairs in her wedding dress, and 2) walking out of church for the first time as husband and wife!

Wedding Reception Design Theme: Classic/Romantic feel mixed with gold and blush tones.

Wedding Reception Design Inspiration : My design inspiration came together from looking through many different reception pictures and wedding designers instagram accounts. I knew I wanted soft tones mixed with gold accents throughout the room, and it all flowed together perfectly in the Beverly Hills ballroom that we had chosen for our venue.
