Vera Wang Bride in Magical LA Wedding
Wedding at Pasadena Princess
Robert & Victoria
A message from the bride
Describe your experience with finding your wedding gown: You will hear this and probably not believe it, but it is true when they say you are probably going to buy a completely different wedding gown than what you envision.
I went to a few bridal gown stores and the first words out of my mouth were, "I do not want anything puffy. I am going with a fitted look!" This all changed when I walked into Vera Wang, though. The sales expert convinced me to keep an open mind and to just trust her with what she thought would look good on me.
The first wedding gown I tried at Vera Wang, turned out to be my wedding gown! As soon as I put it on, I burst into tears right away! I could never imagine that a dress could be so magical, and when I got that “feeling” during my visit there, I knew that THIS was going to be my wedding gown.
Describe your experience with wedding planning : Wedding planning is a difficult process, especially when you and your husband are both full time students and have jobs. We chose Mary Michelle to be our wedding planner and couldn't be happier! She stepped in and was hands on with all aspects of our wedding, helping us make decisions and come up with design ideas.
Our florist, Eddie Zaratsian, was also very involved in the design planning and made our wedding look like a dream come true., he is extremely talented! We trusted him so much that both Robert and I told him to do whatever he wants based on his taste and vision.
All our vendors were wonderful to work with, which made the entire experience easy and comfortable for us.
What are your favorite moments of your wedding day?: There were so many favorite moments from the wedding day - its hard to think of just one. But, definitely the first look with Robert was special because he didn't think I would ever wear a ballgown! I was so nervous to see him for the first time, but the second we locked eyes, I felt a sense of calm. It may be cliche to say, but I didn't even feel like there were other people around. I just didn't notice anyone, but him.
“After 8 years of being together, I was finally became Mrs. Ordoyan and it was the best feeling ever. “ says Victoria.
Wedding Reception Design Theme: Our wedding design theme was a little bit of everything, in my opinion. Each detail gave the venue a different feeling. The candles under the head table and on the guest tables created a romantic theme, the touches of glass and acrylic created a timeless look and the gold strings falling from the backdrop arch and centerpieces added a whimsical taste.
It all came together beautifully to create a magical look. Every inch of the design, every attention to detail was perfection. I wish I could go back and relive these moments.
Wedding Reception Design Inspiration : Based on my princess gown, I felt like going with a very timeless and clean look for the wedding reception.
I had a vision of having a lot of white, acrylic designs and draping orchids to my planner and florist, and together they created a beautiful design. They both knew exactly what I wanted and what I envisioned after just one conversation.
