A message from the bride

Describe your experience with finding the perfect location for your PreWedding Session: Firstly, I think it’s important to have a specific look and theme in mind before choosing the location for the photo session. This way the overall vibe will compliment the couple as well as the outfits picked. In our case, Harry and I knew we definitely wanted to shoot in a location that allowed access to inside and outside photos. We also knew we were looking for a whimsical, flirty feel.

We instantly fell in love with this private mansion in Pasadena when we came across pictures of lush green gardens and the romantic feel of this historic venue. It almost felt as if we were looking through pictures of a garden in Italy.

When we ultimately arrived to the location on the day of the photo session we were completely blown away by its natural beauty, we cannot imagine finding a more perfect location than this one! Thanks to Rene for finding this gem!

What are your recommendations/tips for couples before/during their PreWedding Session?: My number one recommendation for couples before the shoot is to get lots of rest and to of course, plan ahead. I remember ordering outfits months in advance and making mental notes of what I envisioned our session to be like.

I had an exact idea of what I wanted our photos to look like. Some advice I can give brides is that it may be tough to go through the entire process with the same energy, you first began with, so try to remember to take a little boost of energy (coffee, energy drink).

Describe the moment he proposed: Harry and I got engaged in Miami. We had talked about taking this trip for months and I had a little feeling he was going to propose! We had just arrived to our hotel room and had ordered room service. We had planned to go down to the beach after lunch but it started to rain. Instead, I threw on a robe and fell asleep on our rooftop porch under the sound of the rain.

Harry was next to me, listening to music. Before I knew it, I woke up to the feeling of someone lightly shaking my shoulder to wake me up. When I opened my eyes Harry was sitting next to me on the couch, holding a ring in his hand. I was so shocked that I couldn’t even get up. I literally stared at him in disbelief while he asked me if I would marry him.

When reality finally set in I sat up and said “YES”! We had some friends who flew into Miami to celebrate our engagement and we spend the next 3 days having the time of our lives! It was definitely a very memorable proposal!

Interesting/fun facts about the couple or session : One interesting fact about about Harry and I is that we lived within 2-3 blocks of each other for about 20 years but never met until our early twenties. We even went to the same school for several years but ironically we never knew of each other. It’s funny how two people always end up meeting by chance.

I believe in good timing and that everything ultimately happens for a reason.

Another fun fact about us is that we are both extreme foodies and prefer the same exact foods and ingredients. I have never met anyone that has a food palate that is identical to mine, Harry is that person! I always say that our love of food brought us together.
